In addition, these vehicles are very strong, durable and tend to have the benefit of a large cargo space that is ideal for carrying plenty of goods. There is a wide selection of 7 seat 4×4 cars available in the UK market and these vehicles are quite similar with very few considerations separating them. Each scores differently based on price, luxury, comfort and style however. Land Rover Discovery 4 – 4×4
Suffice to say that the Land Rover Discovery 4 is considered the best 7 seater 4WD vehicle available in the UK due to their long standing off-roading heritage. There are a number of reasons that set this vehicle apart. To begin with, the Discovery is a spacious car with adequate leg room for all the seven seats. Furthermore, true to the Land rover spirit, the Discovery offers unparalleled off road performance as it does on the tarmac terrain. This is largely due to the full time 4WD with the signature Terrain Response System. The Discovery takes practicability in 7 seater cars to uncharted territory. The Discovery has three rows of seats. Unlike other models, users have experienced very few instances of discomfort in the 3rd row where even adults can fit in even on very long journeys due to its higher height and amble leg room. Its 3.0 litre engine offers a very smooth engine with an 8 speed gearbox that is automatic transmission. A 3 litre engine however does make this a more thirsty and less economical model of 4×4 when considered as a family vehicle.

The Benz has an excellent diesel engine with 4WD capability, setting it apart from others in its class owing to its excellence in handling the off-road and on road terrain. The fact that the Mercedes Benz GL has managed to fit three rows of seats while maintaining its elegant shape and design is no mean feat. It has a large storage space with enough room for plenty of luggage. It has an excellent top notch leather interior.
The Audi Q7 SUV
The Audi Q7 is a rather sporty 7 seater luxury 4WD SUV. However, its performance as a family car can match any other in its field if not outperform them. It has three rows of seats though the third row offers limited leg space hence not ideal for adult seating on long distances. It is however ideal as a family car with teenagers and children seating on the third row. Famed as the Christian Grey car, the Audi experience is unmatched both on the road and in the off the road terrain as a result of the excellent 4WD system.

The fact that the Mercedes Benz GL has managed to fit three rows of seats while maintaining its elegant shape is excellent.
I love my 2006 Volvo xc90 d5 se manual!I had an executive Honda CR-V,which I was quite happy with, when I only had 2 Grandchildren, but then struggled with its lack of practicality when I had 4 two years later!Firstly it had no passenger airbag deactivation switch so I couldn’t place a rear facing baby seat in,then the middle rear seat was so narrow,it took me 20 minutes of in-car gymnastics to put 3 childseats, plus occupants across the back seats! So,it had to go.After 6 months of research, and reviews,I narrowed the choice down to the Volvo xc90,or a Kia Sorento, but in the end,I plumped for the Volvo,as it had more history, and respect for safety, and I felt the Kia was still too new to make a lasting descision.Im so glad I trusted my instincts! No more fiddle faddling trying to get all the Grandchildren in,theres room in there for all of them, plus myself and two willing helpers!Theres even a built- in booster seat in the middle rear seat in the back row, with its own cute, dinky little belt! And it even slides right up to the front seats so the child can feel included more! And it feels as sure footed as a mountain goat. And I feel safe as houses in it.Everyone chooses a car for different reasons, some for performance, some for image, but I chose mine for practicality and comfort and safety, and it ticks all the boxes, and more.I am sure this car will be a keeper!
